Pet sitting

I provide a bespoke pet sitting service looking after your pets in their own homes whilst you are away. It’s not just dogs I look after but cats, reptiles, poultry, birds and rabbits etc.

Dog walks + enrichment included

Your dog(s) will enjoy a minimum of a one hour walk per day along with pop ins and company all night. I don’t just stomp along the pavements, I choose a variety of places to walk your dog(s) to help enhance enrichment in the woods, fields and parklands. Here is a list of my top five local dog walking locations.

With permission, they join me on visits to dog friendly cafes, shops and garden centres, thus promoting socialisation.

For more information about dog walking visit my dog walking page.

A personal service

All your requirements are discussed during our free meet and greets. This is also a fantastic way to get to know each other which means we can discuss everything in more detail. If it’s a first time sit it will help me learn about your pets characteristics.

You can rest assured your dog(s) and animals will be in safe hands and will be given lots of fuss, love and cuddles. If your dog(s) is allowed on the sofa/bed, this is great because I adore snuggles. If not we share cuddles down on the floor. I always follow your instructions.

The import stuff

Whilst pet sitting in your home I will communicate to you via text/email with videos/photos and a brief précis of their day. I do this because it gives you the upmost reassurance they and your house are being looked after.

Not only are your pets cared for whilst you’re away, your home is in safe hands and respected at all times providing you with security and peace of mind. I promise to keep your house and garden maintained to the standard it was found in upon my arrival and secure at all times.

I am insured, DBS checked, canine first aid certificated and can provide references.

Frequently asked questions

Below is a list of my most frequently asked questions relating to pet sitting. If you still need an answer please contact me.

  1. Will my house be safe?

Yes, I am DBS checked and fully insured. I look after all your property with care and attention, keeping it clean, plants watered, bins put out etc whilst caring for your pets. Security precautions will be adhered to at all times. With your house being occupied there is reduced risk of burglary etc.

  2. What is a DBS?

A Basic DBS check is for any purpose, including employment. The certificate will contain details of convictions and conditional cautions that are considered to be unspent under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

An individual can apply for a Basic check directly to DBS through their online application route, or an employer can apply for a basic check on an individual’s behalf, through a Responsible Organisation. Learn more about DBS checks

  3. How long will my dog(s) be left for?

This is entirely up to you and will be discussed in great detail during our free meet and greets.

  4. Can I meet you before your pet sit?

Yes. This is a wonderful way to get to know each and discuss everything in fine detail without obligation. It also allows your pets and I to bond because I can meet you as many times you deem necessary.

I have insurance for pet sitting even though this is not a legal requirement. I also have business car insurance to carry pets in my car.
